How Long Could You Survive This Cannabis Only Diet?

Reading time - 11 minutes - July 1, 2021

A wise person once said: food is everything. Food fills us up when we feel empty, food brings us joy, food brings us flavour, food allows us to live another day. The wonders of food are endless, and even if you don’t always see the beauty of food, there’s always time and new experiences to change your mind. You’re always only one good meal away from realising the true amazement of food once again. Today we’re going to be looking at some of the best food recipes out there for your breakfast, lunch and dinner. But these aren’t your usual food recipes. Oh no. These are… cannabis recipes. Mic drop. The question we will be posing to you today is: how long could you survive this cannabis only diet? How stoned would you be by the end of one day? Well, let’s see. In the meantime, say hello to some of the best, Mitchell and Star-style cannabis recipes that you can have for any meal during your day. Perhaps one day this menu could appear on Come Dine With Me; but the UK would have to legalize recreational marijuana first. As always, strap yourself in. Get out your knife and fork. Let’s go.

Cannabutter

Before we begin on this insanely tasty menu of delights, it’s important to first mention cannabutter. Cannabutter is probably the most crucial element of most cannabis recipes, and without knowing about it, you may be left disappointed. With essentially all cannabis recipes, it must start with infusing the cannabis. Or in other words, turning the non-psychoactive TCHA into psychoactive THC. Although cannabutter isn’t the only technique of decarboxylation, it is one of the most common ways to do this because butter can easily be used in lots of recipes. So, by making a fat load of cannabutter first of all, you can go forward and make practically any cannabis dish. Click here to find out how to make cannabutter.

Breakfast Cannabis Recipes

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, yet so often people miss it. Perhaps you can still hear the sound of rumbling tummies during the first lesson at school; it was not a nice feeling. So even if you’re not used to making breakfast a major event in your life, it’s never too late to reap the benefits. We’ve combined two delicious recipes to create a truly euphoric morning experience. Coffee and waffles…with a ganja twist.

Cannabis Coffee

Cannabis coffee is exactly what it says in the name. It’s a delicious fuelling coffee, with infused weed.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

As easy as it would be, unfortunately you can’t just throw cannabis buds into some coffee and drink it. It wouldn’t do anything; it would be a waste. So here is what you must do. Grind the weed in a grinder and heat up the 3 cups of water in a pan to boil. Once it’s boiled add the butter and the cannabis; butter will soak in the cannabinoids quicker. Allow the mixture to boil for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once the time is up, use the mixture as a replacement for the hot water you would usually use to make coffee. Any coffee-making technique will work. And just like that. You’ve got a tasty cannabis brew.

Belgian Waffles with Cannabis Butter

Now you have your coffee, next up is your waffles. This is the final step to the perfect morning.

Ingredients

Instructions

This recipe doesn’t include how to make cannabutter, although you will need it to use in this recipe so make sure to click the link at the beginning of the article so you can do that first. Don’t worry, it doesn’t take too long and it’s a very useful skill to have for future recipes.

Pour the flour, sugar and baking powder into a large enough bowl. Then, get another bowl and beat the egg yolks. Add the milk, butter, cannabis butter and vanilla extract; mix it all together. After this, add the dry ingredients from the previous bowl. Stir once again until nicely mixed. Then beat the egg whites (the transparent bit that is still left of the egg) until little stiff peaks begin to form. Fold this into the batter. Then, finally, place it all into a preheated waffle iron OR place in a fitted tin and place in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. After, serve with strawberries and syrup. Yum.

Lunch Cannabis Recipes

Now you’re on to lunch. Lunch is just as important as breakfast, perhaps even more important. Only one way to find out, let’s make breakfast and lunch fight in a boxing ring to see who’s triumphant. But whilst we wait for that fight to be arranged, let’s take a look at our lunch menu. Today we serve a delicious cannabis grilled cheese sandwich alongside a cannabis smoothie. An American classic with a well-needed health kick.

Cannabis Grilled Cheese Sandwich

It’s lunch time, and it’s time to go American-style on this one. Make yourself a beautiful grilled cheese sandwich with the added bonus of herbs.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

Yet again this recipe requires some pre-made cannabutter and, as previously stated, this will probably be a frequent necessity so make sure to make a lot when you do. First things first, get a bowl and mix the normal unsalted butter with the magic, weed butter. Also, add the mustard in too for a bit of a kick. Spread that new, magical mixture onto one side of each slice of bread. On the sides that aren’t buttered, place the slices of cheese. Now start heating the olive oil in a nonstick pan and cook the slices of bread. Allow for about 3 minutes on each side. Once done, create a big old mountain of cheesy, sandwich goodness. Then, cut in half, and enjoy.

Cannabis Smoothie

To counteract that big, cheesy monster, here’s a healthy, delicious smoothie to settle down the cholesterol.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

The instructions for this recipe are pretty simple. You basically put all of the ingredients in a blender and keep blending until smooth. Then, enjoy it immediately. The only slight difference with this recipe is that you don’t want to use cannabutter as it may taste a bit odd. Instead, decarboxylate the weed in a slightly different way. Put half a gram on an ovenproof dish, put it in the oven, and bake for 20 minutes at about 120 degrees. This will ensure the weed becomes psychoactive. Then you can throw it in with the rest of the ingredients and blend it up. This one’s not only magical, but also healthy.

Dinner Cannabis Recipes

cannabis

And now we come to dinner. The final meal of the day. The piece de resistance. By this point you may be too stoned to go on, or perhaps just more hungry. If you’re still standing then respect to you. A good dinner can be the difference between a good evening and a bad evening, a good sleep or a bad sleep. Perhaps this meal could even be one you use to impress a future lover, who knows? Either way, we have something special for you. The meal will be a cannabis lasagna, a cannabis cocktail, and some cannabis ice cream for dessert. Dinner is served.

Cannabis Cocktail

First up, we’ll start with a delicious cannabis cocktail. This drink is not only delicious, but also is a crazy combination of weed and alcohol. What’s that rhyme again… ‘beer before grass, you’re on your arse. Grass before beer, you’re in the clear’. Well what happens if you consume them at the exact same time? You’ll have to find out for yourself.

High thought: ever wondered why cannabis is illegal in the UK but alcohol isn’t? Click here to find out more.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

As per, pre-made decarbed weed is key for this recipe. Use the same technique as you did for the cannabis smoothie in order to unlock your cannabis’ full potential. Once that’s done, you can move on to making the delicious cocktail. Put the honey in a small saucepan and heat on a low heat, ensuring it doesn’t foam. Then, grind up your decarbed weed into a powder and stir it in with the honey. Next up, add the orange zest and ginger, and eventually the vodka. Cook this mixture over a low heat, ensuring it stays liquid and does not begin to become too hot and sticky. After about 30 minutes, put the mixture into a jar and let it cool down (perhaps placing it in the fridge). Then, whenever you’re ready, grab a glass and begin your evening.

Cannabis Lasagna

Cannabis lasagna is a perfect option for many reasons: it’s tasty, it’s big enough for sharing, and it’s full of mouth-watering bud. In fact, supposedly the Italians put weed in the first ever recipe of the lasagna. Is that a made up fact? You decide.

Ingredients:

Instructions

This time, we’ll be using the beloved cannabis butter to throw into the mix. With lasagna, a bit of butter only makes it more delicious. I canna believe it’s not butter! First up, heat the oil in a big enough saucepan. Chuck in the onion and carrot, allowing to cook for 5 minutes over a medium heat. Make sure to stir occasionally. Then, throw the garlic and the cannabutter in for about a minute before adding the mince (veggy or not). Once the mince is cooked through (probably about 6 minutes) stir in the tomato puree. Then, tip in the chopped tomatoes. Throw a dash of red wine in and allow to simmer for 15 minutes. Make sure to preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Get a big enough oven dish and ladle some of the delicious, magical sauce into the bottom. On top of that, place 2 to 3 lasagna sheets on top, covering the sauce. This is the first layer. Now replicate this with a further two layers. Once you’ve piled up your lasagna nicely, mix up the creme fraiche in a bowl adding salt and pepper. Pour this over the top layer of the lasagna and sprinkle parmesan on top. Now place this in the oven for 30 minutes. Serve with a scatter of basil and voila, there’s your delicious cannabis lasagna prepared.

Cannabis Ice Cream

The last recipe on this delectable menu is the dessert: cannabis vanilla ice cream. Some people would prefer not to prepare dessert, but if you’ve ever watched a winning chef on Come Dine With Me, you’ll know that a killer dessert can make all the difference.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

This recipe is a lot easier than perhaps you’d have thought. Start by whipping the cream until it’s stiff. Then, simply add the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl and mix them together. Lastly, fold the whipping cream and the mixture together. Once this is done, you place the mixture in a container and freeze for 6 hours. There you have it. If you fancy going a step further and making some weed brownies to complement the ice cream then click here.
